The Shanghai World Financial Center is the tallest building in China and the forth tallest building in the world.  The tower’s most notable feature is the massive trapezoid located to the top.  The original plans for the building called for that hole to be circular in shape, however developers feared that it would be to reminiscent of the “Rising Sun” on Imperial Japan’s flag.
